Born to a Prussian
Countess Artist and a Salt of the Earth East Ender, Karina
spent much of her childhood on her mother's farming estate in
Germany, where she developed a life long passion for the
natural environment and a great affinity to animals,
especially horses, frequently painting them.
Following a move to Penzance in 1980 Karina studied art at
Falmouth School of Art and Design She continued to work from
home whilst raising a family, and during more recent times,
has attended workshops with the artist Colin Scott, Naomi
Frears, Anthony Frost, Lucy Willow, Linda Scott and Frank
Timmons.
Often working with opposite hands using brushes tied to
long lengths of cane, Karina's spontaneous multi media art
embodies her passion for the Spirit of Penwith and the Ocean
that surrounds it.
Karina who is currently a student of Cornwall College, is
married to a Cornish Farmer and breeds Arabian Horses.
